Drupal Modules

In an effort to make the Module Finder easier to discover, and quicker to access, I've embedded it in the front page.

An informal survey at the last Ottawa Drupal meetup revealed that the large majority of DrupalModules.com users were unaware of the Module Finder, and were just using the normal search block.

Module Finder offers significant advantages over the normal search. It's super fast, and fully interactive! The results update live, as you're typing, and your keywords are highlighted in real time. You can filter by version or category, and see the changes immediately. You can even search module titles and descriptions separately, or search both at the same time with different keywords.

If you've never used Module Finder before, give it a try! It's right at the top of the front page, you can't miss it :)

Since I consider Module Finder probably the best feature on the site, I hope this change will introduce it to a whole new audience.

This is a fairly experimental update, so please let me know (via the forum) if you discover any problems or have any suggestions. Keep in mind, you'll need JavaScript enabled to use Module Finder. Regular search is still available via the search block on the right.

I've also enabled JavaScript aggregation, which should improve page load times for the whole site.
