Drupal Modules

Providing Outdated Downloads

Didn't see a post on the topic, so I wanted to air a concern... Presently, dm.com is providing a download link to the beta 6 version of Ubercart. The beta 7 was posted up and has been the official release for a couple of weeks now. Particularly when it comes to security updates, this means people who download Ubercart through this site will be starting off fresh with fixed vulnerabilities. : )

Can you provide any details on the frequency of updates?

Fixed

Hi, thanks for bringing this to my attention. Modules are checked for new releases daily, but it looks like Ubercart was missed. It's up to date now.

There were a few days after the recent Drupal.org Project update where some modules were not showing any published releases, and it looks like this update was missed because of that.

I'm going to run a recheck to make sure no others were missed. Thanks again.

Update

The recheck is done. Any modules that missed synchronization earlier this month should now be fully up to date.

Verify also the img package.

Verify also the img package. It is outdated.

That is by design.

That img package release was just published a couple hours ago. DrupalModules synchronizes modules once a day, so it will be updated tonight, as usual.

I do have some ideas for making things update instantly, but it will require a bit of time to turn into code ;)

User Points Top Contributors

Can you check the userpoints_top_contributors module? ... http://drupal.org/project/userpoints_top...

It's been out for a while but doesn't seem to be showing up on this site.

Thx.
Kevin

Added

Thanks for the note, the module has been imported.

Embedded module references in Ubercart

I noticed that the download links to imagecache and Workflow-ng within Ubercart Module Dependencies don't reference the current module versions.

When I find these modules directly in DM the current versions are listed.

Thanks for all of your effort.

Embedded module references in Ubercart

I don't write those descriptions, they're excerpts from the Drupal.org project page. The maintainer may have reasons for linking to older versions.

Sorry

I assumed you were scraping the d.o. descriptions but I
assumed (always bad) that there was some sort of auto-link updating going on.

If the module author tries to lock into an earlier version which I don't think is the case here, he/she should probably warn people that the update status module (D5 option or D6 core) is going to raise a red flag.

Anyway, this is a d.o. issue.

Thanks
