13% return on investment!
After installing this module, a full 13% of the people who were emailed returned to the site!
That is a massive return in my opinion, and any module that provides a 13% increase in account activation is well worth having.
Simple, yet effective. Like all good ideas.

Great Out Of The Box Signup Reminder Module
This module is perfect for what it does and that is to remind users that they haven't activated their accounts. It can be used out of the box, but also gives you control over things like how often to send the messages, when to send the first one, and how many to send. You can also edit the message sent and even BCC a copy to an email address of your choice.
At first, I was on and off about this. I know I don't like to keep getting emails saying I haven't activated, but then again the only sites I don't activate at are the ones that I sign up for at some spam site while looking to get something free or to sign up for some contest. I'm not running sites like that, so I think that this is a good thing to have for my users.
I would like to see this module expand. Combining forces with Account Expiry, for example, could make it so the account is deleted a certain amount of time after the last email is sent. That is just my thought and it may delete itself, I don't know. I am a new Drupal user that is thoroughly testing modules that I think I will need, so I may not know every single detail about how things play out over the course of months. I assume it doesn't auto delete, so I guess it will be interesting to see what happens if a user ignores it for months.
Anyway... This is a very easy module to use and I recommend it if you want the ability to keep bothering users until they activate. Most users will activate, so this shouldn't be a huge concern. If they don't, then one of three things probably happened. One would be that a spam catcher caught it and you may be screwed, Two would be that they ignored it and may continue to do so, or three, they were busy and this just reminds them of what they wanted to do anyway. Three is probably the only really effective use of the module.
