Great admin menu!

As usual, I found this module while looking for something else on drupalmodules, but very happy I found it. This is a good example of why more drupal projects should have screenshots - I wasn't quite sure what I was getting until I put it in my dev drupal instance. This gives you a thin bar at the top of the screen which contains dropdowns of all the admin navigation. Don't have to worry about supporting admin nav in your theme, having a client ask why things look different when they're logged in, etc. This should be part of the base Drupal install, IMHO.

Highly recommended!

EDIT - (12/4/2009)

Unfortunately, when I dropped this moudle into a separate site, javascript functionality broke and I got a js error about "drupal.admin is undefined." Looking around the project site, the author's opinion on the subject is "I'm not fixing it, I'm busy trying to merge this project into administration menu. He's been trying to do that for a year now, so I've moved on to navigate.

6x version currently doesn't work

I'll review it again when it does.

If there was a rating category for Sexiness, this would get a 5

I found this module after looking for a replacement for Simple Menu, which didn't seem to play nice with Ubercart's multiple levels of administration menus. Wow, what a relief on my eyes after using Simple Menu for so long! As a themer, this module is a beautiful menu that really shines. It's also got quick links to Devel features, logged in users, and issue queues for modules you have installed.

Admittedly, there are some browser issues (Mac especially) that Shawn is aware of and working on, namely with the menu "sticking" to the screen as you scroll down on some themes. However, it's worth the trade off to me, since I simply install the shortcut key companion to this module and hide it by default, and show it with alt+ctrl when I need it. Problem solved :)
