This module provides a mechanism for a View block to have AJAX based pagination. There are other good modules out there that provide functionality similar to this (one standout that comes to mind is Dynamic Views) but I found that they did not either support paging the way I wanted, or did not provide... AJAX Views allows the ability to turn blocks into AJAX blocks. Not a bad idea and definitely appealing to myself, since I prefer the abilities of AJAX over static blocks.
It installs fast, allows editing of even old blocks, and can be setup with just a few options selected. Not bad and it has two nice features that I really like. The first is that it works well with themes and the second is that it can be used on existing blocks in a matter of seconds, turning a static block into a more powerful AJAX one. This module definitely serves a purpose on my site.
