Annoucements, simply works

Simple yet excellent module that creates a new node type, along with a new style for the teaser and full node view. Check out my simple implementation at Xpress Vote The teaser allows just enough information to be displayed at the top of the page, achieved without the need for programming or design knowledge.

The only improvement I would like to see is in the future is the ability to change background colors, again, without the need to know CSS or html.

Simple Enough, The Name Tells It All

Not exactly over-documented or explained all that well, but the one word name sells and tells enough.

Announcements creates a new content typed called Announcements. You may select this content type and set it as a block or a page. This then creates a sticky style post or a block that will show as many as you want. You get a couple of other settings, which are when to have it expire by default (Can be changed individually when you post) and the ability to show extra classification for the particular announcement (Good if you have multiple topics).

Not a lot else to talk about. Could have more options, but it isn't like it has any problem doing what it does. I do find the menu button that it adds to be a little annoying. It links to this off-centered page that gives you the option to post a new one or change the settings. It could be cleaned up and maybe link to a queue of sorts. Just a thought. I mean who wouldn't love an AJAX or something similar type interface where you can swap them around, delete them, and deactivate them.
