I like this module somewhat, it needs some work though. First off, it is fairly powerful and nice. It creates a quick archive of posts and allows you the ability to select them from a calendar presented to you. You can also visit an archive page and have multiple archive options, like by month, see them all, or by a certain date.
I like that functionality and I think it really handles that well. The problem is that I am not a programmer and I can't overly edit styles. I have no sense of style and I have trouble seeing colors. This calendar doesn't look all that great out of the box and is way too big to be a block. It requires you to edit it and theme it a bit to make it look nice and actually fit in one of the corners. To go along with that, I thought the archive page was kind of ugly too. A nice clean AJAX archive page would be great to see. Not that it has to be AJAX.
Anyway, this module is not bad out of the box, but you have to tweak it yourself to get anything real out of it. It handles the archiving fine with a small config to simply tell it what to archive. I don't have too much hope for this project though, since there seems to be quite a delay on the issues page, with the developer seemingly too busy or bored with it. Maybe I am wrong, I don't know...
