A module you didn't know you wanted

Before coming across this module, I was used to the taxonomy fields showing up bundled together in the "vocabularies" fieldset. I'm not a designer, just a developer, so this seemed "ok" by me ;)

But, with this module, you can instead put your taxonomy fields wherever you want in the node edit form! Much better from a UI perspective. You position the taxonomy fields along with your other CCK fields... easy.

Another advantage of using this module is if you want to only show a subset of a vocabulary for a content type. Or, if you want to call a vocabulary one thing for one content type and something else for another content type. Oh, and you could make a required CCK taxonomy field for one content type and another one that isn't required. Lots of possibilities open up once the taxonomy field is a CCK field!

Thanks for the contribution,
Kristen

Useful, usable module

Content Taxonomy improves node form usability by allowing CCK and its extensions to handle node categories. It opens up a lot of possibilities (e.g. with Multiselect).

I found the 5.x release of this module a bit buggy, but the 6.x release seems to be a lot more stable and feature-complete.
