A must have
I was just telling myself that it would be nice to have the same menu i had with joomla and this module do just that.
"In a perfect world, I think this would be a great user menu with floating capabilities so it follows them down the page. That would be something that I think users would love, since it looks great.""
You can easily do that by changing in admin_menu.css
#admin-menu { position: absolute;
to
#admin-menu { position: fixed;

Super usable interface. I activate this on every site I create now.

Always My First Install
Drupal Administration Menu is always the first module that I install. It creates a self populating menu that puts itself at the top of the page and allows fast access to most admin functions. The menu looks great, is stable, only shows for admins, and doesn't interfere with anything on the page.
I have no complaints whatsoever about this module. I fall in line with most people when I say I would love to see it become a full time menu with even more uses. In a perfect world, I think this would be a great user menu with floating capabilities so it follows them down the page. That would be something that I think users would love, since it looks great.
Of course, doing that would make it a whole new menu and probably a whole new module. Just a cool thing I would love to see. For now, this should probably be your first install on a fresh copy of Drupal. It now works fine for 6.x, so everyone can enjoy it.

The first module I install, every time.
The Drupal admin menu provides an easy to navigate menu of all your administrative tasks and config options sitting at the top of the screen and making it all available to you.
I've been using it with my 5.x installs for some time and it really does save you time and effort. I've started using the 6.x version on my new sites and it obviously still needs work but it is better than any other options.
I would say this is the first module I install once a site is setup.

excellent
big time saver - be great if they generalize it to work with any menus!

A must have module
This is a must have module for any Drupal site. It makes administering a site so much quicker that I'm amazed I lived without it for so long.
If you don't have it already, get it now.

Excellent module
Prior to this module I had to constantly log out in order to see the site from an anonymous user's point of view as my template isn't supposed to use a vertical navigation menu. Great job - easy to install, easy to use, and captures all of the functionality of the conventional admin menu without a bunch of page refreshes.

Usually my 1st contrib module to install!
Awesome module, it's always my first module enabled, looking forward to a version for Druapl 6!

Great module.
This is a great module - even for people who have memorized most of the paths/urls to the admin pages. ;-)

must have
This is the FIRST module I download and install on every site-- even sandbox and test sites. Saves tons of time and clicks. Never had a problem. Excellent.

Handy stuff
I love it - not obtrusive, simple and easy to use.
Brilliant.

Great little module
I use it to administer sites quickly and effectively. I wish it had been around before we made the store admin block for Ubercart... but at least we have icons. :P
Also, I recommend the Admin Menu Dropdown module (http://drupal.org/project/admin_menu_dro...) to be used in conjunction with this one. It simply hides the display and lets you pop it open at any time by pressing Ctrl + Alt. Handy for me as it doesn't obstruct the normal theme or page display but is still less than a click away!

Slam dunk
As the other reviews attest, this one is a no-brainer or slam dunk!

Must have for any web admin
Gone are the days when you had to click Administer>>site Building>>Blocks just to get to your blocks config page. Now with this module you can just go to the top of your admin pages, in a slick tree form you can access any and every admin link you wanted to. It is a great module.
It can be made better with some styling though.

So simple, such a time saver
Installs without a hitch, placement of menu is perfect for not getting in the way, but always being handy, easy to use but the best thing is the time saved dialing through admin menus.
I put all my site documentation in a book at /admin/siteNotes so that it appears on the Admin Menu for quick access for adding notes or reference.
Would not admin a site without it.

Cool, but not used
This module is cool, but I ended up taking it off a lot of sites I manage just cause I forgot to use it. Even when I had it set to stay down, I didn't use it too much.

Always installed on a new site
As the title suggests I install this on all new sites I setup or take over. I don't like to have the navigation menu showing so having the admin menu available no matter where I am saves me so much time and makes finding things quicker.
The only problem I have, and this may be due to the themes I use but until the admin menu is loaded fully on the page, I can not select, click or do anything on the site. This problem has only surfaced since the latest release.

Amazing
This module is quite possibly the best thing that I have ever come across (besides Drupal itself). It makes administering Drupal so fast and easy and looks very nice and professional. It also makes it very easy to design a custom themed site without having to worry about where the administration menu will be placed.
This is the first module I install on any new site - absolutely perfectly made.
There is only one slight problem (which really does not get in the way that often), but because the links are small, you often will 'roll-off' of a link. Not really a problem, at all.

My first, too
This is the first module I install on every site as well, even test sites. I have a D6 test site for advforum and I miss admin menu terribly. :(

The first module at all, on all sites.
Of course, I'm a little biased. ;) If you do not need a dropdown menu for regular site users, this module will boost your administrative tasks, especially when developing a new site.
Thanks a lot to all who have contributed bug fixes and new features so far! Without you, this module surely wouldn't be what it is today!

A real time saver
This is a module I discovered by chance, and have loved ever since. If you're tired of clicking through 3 different screens just to get to the right admin section, this module is your new best friend!
Essentially, this module replaces the standard menu with a dynamic, expanding dropdown system. Everything you need is now just a single click away. It's a beautiful thing.
You might need to tweak your theme a bit to get the menu positioned properly at the top of the page, but it's worth the effort. This module will save you a lot of time, and a lot of clicks.
