Nice Module

I needed to quickly setup an events calendar for a club that I belong to. I could have done it all with CCK/Date as mentioned below but this module (combined with Invite) had everything they wanted in just a few minutes. I wish it was a little easier to customize the output but it's still a nice module.

Perfection!

Gives you everything you need to put together a calendar of events and display them in a fully customizable block in LESS THAN 10 MINUTES!

Try that in Calendar/Views/Date API. First you have to install all the modules, then you have to basically create all your fields from scratch, and juggle with the goofy user interface. Not user-friendly in the LEAST!

Events just has it all ready to go.

Not needed

I tried this against using CCK and the Date module. This module was a waste of my time compared to that combo. CCK adds a lot more flexibility and is well supported. Don't waste your time testing this, just go straight to CCK.

Nice Module but seems a bit buggy to me

One of the downsides of this generally really good module is that it is not cacheable. So all caching has to be turned off for the site - which can considerably slow down response times. Also the event_views that are connected with it don't seem to work properly. Hopefully these issues will be fixed in future updates.

Edit : It seems to be more future proof to use the Date/Calendar module http://drupal.org/node/262062
