I always install this module.
Not because I always upload documents but because I always have some dynamic content that should have pictures. For that I need this module, together with the module ImageField and ImageCache.
The module itself is simple and easy to use. Just like it should be imo. If you need anything more complex you can get it by adding more CCK fields. That's how CCK should be used. Many simple fields working together. I love the CCK approach.
This module replaces the default Drupal upload module giving the adminstrator more fine-tuned control over attachments and files in general. When combined with imagefield, these modules become the ultimate partners in any website that hosts files and images.
The control over stuff from each individual file size for each field, to differing file extensions. Integrates flawlessly with Views and CCK.
There are places for improvement however, a default option to show the file size in the nodes would be nice (it has to be done through theming at the moment).
Well done, I can't wait for the rest of the add-ons to reach 6.x stage.
