Great Module
This is a great module, it makes adding a lightbox effect to a view or a cck field effortless.
**NOTE** if you are using jQuery Update, or have updated jQuery to anything higher than 1.2.3, use the Dev version of Lightbox2

What about flash???
I just love this module i found it realy useful and it looks cool too. On my site I`am publishing some flash content an i would like to place it in lightbox. I tried to do that but unsucessfully...
One more thing. You cold make some toolkit for admins to simply mark img link and then press button to apply lightbox, that would be a great feature!

Easy, Beautiful Effect
Lightbox is becoming more and more prevalent in sites and this module makes integrating with Drupal very easy. Creating a Lightbox through views is so simple. With the ability to show other content (besides images) inside of the Lightbox, this module is, simply put, amazing.

A solid module
I love the lightbox effect. It is a great way to display larger versions of images without making the visitor leave the page and it works great for galleries.
This module ticks all the boxes and works well but the jQuery Lightbox does the exact same thing and can use the jQuery library that is already loaded with Drupal so it is probably a bit more efficient.

Easy to Use packed with features, my favorite Gem in Drupal
Its hard to come across "GEMS", or small little projects that change your life. This is one of them. Wow!

much much better than thickbox
i just got the memo that this is much better than thickbox. wish i had seen this in the first place. still wondering why every tutorial on imagecache and imagefield always shows thickbox, when this module is much better? why does the US still use imperial measurements? who knows! probably the same answer to both questions.

Stands out of the rest.
Previously I was using Thick box mainly because it could show the login box in the thick box itself. But I was searching for something better. I crashed into Lightbox V2 which in the past used Prototype and Scriptaculous java script framework but now uses the Drupal Native Jquery framework.
Navigating thorough the features I found it very feature rich, customizable, flexible and supporting various media. But when I landed on this http://drupal.org/node/266126 comparisons page I was amazed. This module has it all. Its available from Drupal 4 - 6. I'm using it in Drupal 5.7 but in case of Drupal 4 it might have some compatibility issue as in Drupal 4.x it still uses Prototype and scriptaculous library. This module has 10+ Features as stated in the project page like slide show, HTML content etc. It's a little in the file size aspect but good things have some drawbacks too.
The usability is easy as Thickbox but there is no out of the box solution to show HTML content like the login box until you tweak it with a rel tag. The zoom feature, link to the image node are other plus point over the other modules. Easily integrating with Image and related modules it can also handle image links embedded in nodes.
All in all, if you want a module to wrap your image or other HTML content or media this is the module to choose.

One of the best image browsers
Easy to install, easy to integrate into other Drupal contributed modules, easy to setup.
