The mail edit module lets you edit all email body and subject of all emails that go out from your site to your users through Drupal's drupal_mail function. Not everyone will immediately have a use for this module, but you will, eventually.
Like me, though, you may need a few more variables, and you might wish for token integration. Like, wouldn't it be nice if you could insert the date? Well, not yet!
