The Mass Contact module is simply a modified version of the core contact module. The problem with this module is that if you are sending HTML mail, it is sent as HTML only. Many users do not accept HTML formatted email, so they see an empty message.
It would be better if this module would send BOTH a plain text AND HTML formatted version so down-level mail clients could read it.
I would not recommend you use this module unless you are sending plaintext only messages.
