Module Overview

Drupal.org Excerpt:

Tiny Tiny MCE (TinyTinyMCE) is a Drupal 6 supported module supporting the wysiwyg editor tinymce. This module was written as an alternative to the tinymce module. The goal was to make it very simple to set up (enable the module, grant access permissions). However, the configuration screen also lets... [More...]

Love this simple version of TinyMCE that just works

Great Module, gives you the following buttons as I have documented on this button reference page: http://web3us.com/drupal6/content/tinymc....

I now use this on all my web sites, it is very stable and simply works. Even has automatic support for photos with IMCE, just install IMCE.

Not a fan

I demoed both this module and the WYSIWYG API/TinyMCE approach and settled on the latter, mainly due to the flexibility.

best TinyMCE Integration for D6

This module is what I was searching for. It´s much simpler and faster to configure than the "TinyMCE Module". You just need to read the TinyMCE Documentation for that. This module allows all the flexibility you need except one missing feature - it doesn´t work with CCK text field set to "unlimited". For the "TinyMCE Module" there are 2 additional Modules to solve that Problem. I hope those modules will also support "Tiny Tiny MCE" in the future.

Best editor for 6.0, easy to install and use.

I would highly recommend this plug-in. I'm a fairly technical person, but I had a heck of a time trying to configure the FCKeditor. I had the FCKeditor, completely installed and working and still, there were so many little tweaks I had to do to get it to work the way I wanted. It certainly seems that the FCKeditor editor is very full featured and give it enough time could be made to do anything.

I was growing tired of the endless tweaks. So I decided to look around and see if there were any other popular WYSIWYG editors. I installed tiny tiny MCE, and within 5 minutes was editing my pages with significantly more ease and better results.

Very easy to set up, almost no configuration but still a high level of control as to where it shows up much like the FCKeditor.

The only drawback I've found so far is that it doesn't appear to allow image upload for placement in content on it's own. You can easily add the IMCE module and then you are in business.

My recommendation to you, would be to try this one first and if it doesn't do everything you want then you can venture out and blow a lot of time setting up one of the other WYSIWYG editors.

This is a class act plug-in.

the best one for D6

This is the most configurable one there is. Has everything you could want. Can be omplicated to install - haven't got the language pack in yet, but if you have users who don't know html then it opens up a world for them. Sometimes it is even easier to use than Dreamweaver. No over-heavy code like some other modules, integrates perfectly with IMCE module to let users creat a personal directory of images (NOT NODES) to use in their posts.

Works well - I recommend it

I got this module working today and it is an excellent addition. Some time back, I tried to install FCKeditor and had problems in usage, but this works well on all different types of pages. Toggles quickly. Rich text editor is extremely helpful with wide assortment of options.

Module installed cleanly and instructions were very clear. Only small issue was a cache problem that was a little hard to diagnose. Steven was very timely and helpful in offering assistance. Lesson learned: if you have trouble, I recommend clearing ALL your cache to get it working (DB + browser).

But once that got sorted, editor works great and I recommend it.
