Still the Bee Knees
I'm now using this with Drupal 7. It has the same awesomeness it had under Drupal 6. See an example of a fluid grid at my blog.
If you can setup views to show a list, or grid of content, you'll be able to use this module without reading the documentation. It's just another Views formatter with settings that are self explanatory.
D7 version does fine
I searched for a more flexible and better looking way to display a grid of nodes and found Fluid Grid. Although only in beta-stage for D7, this module does just what it promises: building a refined and more fluid grid is easy. It is a bit awkward not te be able to set the number of columns, instead using a pixel-width per item. In my case the grid contains images and tuning the size with imagecache is easy enough. The rounded corners and shadows (a very delicate shadow!) are a bonus.
Thumbs up for this mod!
I can't live without this module. I just hope the Drupal 7 version makes it out of dev!
Intelligent view addon
This module is apt for fluid dynamic designs. It is a quick solution to gallery + views and therefore a very intelligent add-on. I created a demo of this module + lightbox and it looks wonderful already. Take a look at the demo that I just build. I dont think there is an easier way to quickly implement this in around 2 hrs. Easy to install, easy to use, and does what it says.
The bee knees
This module is a step up from the standard fixed width grid in Views for Drupal 6. It's great for making sure your items don't break fixed width themes by protruding beyond the bounds of the theme. It also helps fluid width themes look right as they expand or contract to suit varying screen sizes.
I use it for photo galleries and to replace the default Ubercart catalogue.
